To watch Sky TV on demand you’ll need to connect your Sky+HD box to a working broadband network.
And that’s what our Sky On Demand Connector does.
You do not need an On Demand Connector if your Sky+HD box has a WPS button.
Can you get wireless sky?
The new Sky+HD and Sky+HD 2TB boxes connect wirelessly to a home Wi-Fi network with the touch of a couple of buttons. Sky’s On Demand service is available at no extra charge to all customers who have connected their Sky+HD box to their broadband connection.
What is Sky Connect?
Sky Broadband Connect is subject to a Network Management (or Fair Usage) Policy, so that we’re providing a fair and sustainable broadband service for all our Sky Broadband Connect customers. However, the network can be busy at other times too, depending on regional, national and international demand.
Is Sky HD box wireless?
While more recent Skyboxes include Wi-Fi connectivity, some older boxes do not. Upgrade to a box that connects wirelessly or opt for a wireless connector that enhances the capabilities of the box. Three wireless capable devices offered are the Sky+HD box, Sky+HD 2TB box, and Sky On Demand Connector.
Can you connect sky box to TV wirelessly?
If you have an HD-ready TV, plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI socket on the back of your box and the other end into the HDMI 1 socket (or another available HDMI socket) on the back of your TV. If you don’t have an HD-ready TV, use an AV cable (red, white & yellow) to connect your SKY box to your TV.
Does my Sky box need to be connected to the Internet?
Yes, your SKY box has to be connected to the internet in order to get access to On Demand content such as TV shows, movies, sports, etc. This is also dependent on your monthly services. In order to connect your SKY to the internet, you’ll need to order a connection device. You can order your device here.
How do I get Sky WiFi?
Connect to Sky WiFi
- Use the Sky WiFi Hotspot Finder to locate the nearest venues with Wi-Fi hotspots.
- Make sure your device’s Wi-Fi is switched ON and select “_The Cloud” hotspot from the list of Wi-Fi networks available.
- Sign in using your email and password, or create a new account here.
Is the cloud WiFi free?
Sky now provides free unlimited Wi-Fi to its customers via the Cloud. Sky broadband customers enjoy unlimited access to the Cloud, a network of free Wireless internet hotspots available across the country. If you’re not a Sky customer you can still access the Cloud, but only for up to 15 minutes at a time.

Can I connect my sky box wirelessly?
To connect your devices to Sky Broadband you’ll need your Sky Hub and, if you want to connect wirelessly, a wireless-enabled device. Avoid placing the Hub too close to other wireless devices, such as a cordless phone base station.
How do I connect to the cloud WiFi?
You can so this by clicking ‘settings’, then ‘wireless and networks’. Select the tick box to turn on WiFi. Select ‘The Cloud’ from the available network list, you will then connect automatically. Open your internet browser and The Cloud landing page will appear.
